The Food and Meals…
Inspired by the ingredients that make this one of the world’s five Blue Zones, our Costa Rican chef-designed vegetarian-focused meals that burst with flavor and texture. Get a chance to taste your way through the possibilities on offer. We believe in honoring the land through connecting closer to source in all ways. Buffet style, we encourage you to take what you need knowing you can always return for more.
Breakfasts in our front restaurant and dinners may be served in the main building, our tiki bar and poolside lounge, or up at the restaurant. Let us surprise you!
Anytime you need more nourishment, blend yourself a smoothie from local fruits and greens and nutritious add-ins. Grab a snack – never know what we may conjure up.

Flights:
Arrive into the Liberia Daniel Oduber Airport (LIR) on March 16th before 3pm if possible so we can pick you up and get you settled in before dinner. Departure any time on March 23rd or arrange an extension. We take care of arranging this for you, round trip, don’t worry.
If you want to come earlier or stay later for some exploring – we can accommodate you for an additional nightly fee of $180 per night or $320 for two, arranged with Con Smania CR directly.
Meet your Leadership Team
Sue Jacoby
Dr. Susan “Sue” Jacoby, owner of Expedition You, LLC, is a certified life coach who works with people wanting something more or different in their lives. Sue specializes in supporting people preparing for or in the second or third (or more) chapters of their lives. She especially values the opportunity to work with fellow members and allies of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Sue had a valued and impactful career as a K-12 and university senior leader overseeing strategic planning and project management. As she anticipated retiring from that career, Sue began exploring what kind of life she wanted to create. Sue realized it had to include a new way of working and, more importantly, a new way of being. She explored “who” and “how” she wanted to be rather than “what” she wanted to do and discovered she wanted more joy, more connection, and more adventure in her next chapter. Her exploration led to a new career as a life-coach. After completing an intensive seven-month life-coach program, practicum, and exam, Sue has continued her training and now holds four specialized certifications.
Recognizing the role physical health and wellness play in each person’s journey and evolution, Sue also is a personal trainer and brings the joy of movement and the power of strength into her life-coaching sessions.
Sue holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida as well as a master’s of science and a doctor of philosophy degree from Gallaudet University in Washington, DC. She is bilingual in English and American Sign Language. True to her new chapter, Sue ensures her life has time for strength training, she held a national deadlift record for her age group; walking with her dog Liam; reading; and having adventures big and small with her partner Scout and good friends.

Michael Mammina is a Master Life Coach with multiple certifications and global professional experience, whose passion is to create the space for successful people to rediscover their life’s vision and “reinvent” themselves by creating a path to their dreams. To overcome what has been holding them back and step even further into their power. To gather the pieces of their lives together and answer the question… What’s Next?
In addition to his years of coaching experience, he is a Certified Health Coach assisting clients in establishing healthy habits that lead to a rejuvenated spirit and weight loss. This proven scientific approach to health is one that he himself practices and, in turn, is pleased to share with others.
He is also a Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant, co-creating ceremonies with people as they move through stages of their lives. From Baby Namings, Weddings, Vow Renewals, House Blessings, and Retirement Celebrations, he writes custom ceremonies and performs them to help celebrate all life has to offer.
His mission is to help people live life to the fullest, confident, healthy, excited, and with the happiness and joy they deserve.
His mantra is…Don’t just live out the rest of your life; live the life of your dreams!
Cerise Patron
Cerise Patron is an internationally recognized Inspirational Singer, Songwriter, Motivational Speaker, and Spiritual Tour Operator. She has produced 4 CD’s of her music, and is also a for-hire songwriter for churches, organizations, companies, retreats, individuals who desire a deeper inspiration to help them reach the next level of their dreams, and memorial songs for their loved ones.
She also owns Sacred Spiritual Tours and guides Spiritual Immersive Healing Retreats in Central and South America. She is currently in ministerial school at Emerson Theological Institute and travels around the Country singing and speaking in Unity and Religious Science churches. Her desire is to spread love, and empowerment to everyone she meets, as long as she continues to have breath in her body.
