About Taita Juanito

Juan Guillermo Chindoy is a medicine-man, healer and botanist. He was born in the Condaugua indigenous reservation in the Putumayo department of Colombia and belongs to the Inga People.

By knowledge learned generation by generation in his family and his native town, and the studies of medicinal plants for more than 15 years, Juan Guillermo Chindoy belongs to a long lineage of botanist and healers, they are looking to heal mind, body and spirit through plants, plants that are sacred for him and his community.

We are greatly honored to have Taita Juanito in service at Con Smania CR for this private retreat. Along with his team of healers and assistants and supported by medicine musicians of the highest caliber, it is a special opportunity to sit with the medicine.

• Three weeks of pre-retreat preparation guidance for dieta and cleanse, including three Zoom meetings with your retreat guide, Jill.

• Two cleansing kambo sessions to best prepare the body and spirit for the ceremonies.

As the Creator of Magic at Con Smania CR, your guide for this retreat experience is Jill Sessa, a lifelong entrepreneur, spiritual seeker, and fitness professional.

A three-year healing journey, guided by trust and intuition, brought Jill back to Costa Rica in January of 2022. This was an opportunity to begin facilitator training in breathwork, at a rustic retreat venue right on the ocean, and the chance to get further answers to her the same inquiry she had made of Taita Juanito previously and was about to make of his brother, Taita Luis:

“How do I combine my very techy and robotic brain
with my deep spiritual self in my work?”

A request to accompany a friend who was looking for a property brought her to the Hotel Flying Crocodile and the answer was instantly available. Clearly seeing the potential for creating a safe and sacred space for client visits, she realized opening a retreat center based on the same principles that had always guided her work – support for entrepreneurs on a mission – was the next step.

Calling in partnership has been a large part of her healing journey, collaboration for a more fulfilling life. The Con Smania Collective is the incredible group of shareholders supporting Jill’s work in Costa Rica, leaders, business people, healers, brilliant thinkers from all over the US.

A lifelong entrepreneur, Jill has owned fitness businesses and pilates studios, run the front-of-house operations for the largest high school national track championships in the US, spoken on stages and presented to audiences on the power of outsourcing and focusing on the innersection of what you are great at and what lights you up.
